With seven locations to serve you, Family Pharmacy is the leading provider for pharmacy services in the Golden Triangle. Our goal is to provide a high level of customer service that all of our customers deserve. All of our stores provide a large prescription inventory coupled with fast, friendly hometown service. Our name says it all; we strive to treat each and every customer as if they were our own family.
Our Team
David Haney - Owner
- David Haney was born and raised in Vidor, Texas and graduated from Vidor High School in 1967. David’s first experience in pharmacy was working for Dub Morris at Vidor Pharmacy which jump started his interest in pharmacy. He then went on Lamar University to get his prerequisites for pharmacy and then on to the University of Houston Pharmacy School where he graduated in 1973. David then went to work for Eckerd’s Pharmacy in Vidor until he met the Pharmacy Manager at Gibson’s, Leonard Mosca. David and Leonard formed a partnership which led to the opening Family Pharmacy in January of 1979 with the concept to treat customers like family. Clancie Grant
Pharmacist at Vidor Family Pharmacy
Clancie Grant, RPh, BCMTMS - is a highly experienced pharmacist with 25 years of expertise in various areas of pharmacy including community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, home infusion, and mental health pharmacy. She obtained her pharmacy degree from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 1997 and is Board Certified in Medication Therapy Management. Clancie has a passion for serving her patients and was recognized for her outstanding service during Hurricane Harvey, winning the GEM Award from Genoa Healthcare in 2018. She also received The Orange Leader Reader's Choice Award for favorite pharmacist in 2010. Clancie holds certificates in Mental Health First Aid, sterile compounding, and immunization administration.
Leonard Mosca
Pharmacist at Vidor Family Pharmacy
Leonard Mosca was David Haney’s business partner for a better part of 30 years before he sold his share to David’s son Brian. Leonard graduated from the University of Houston pharmacy school in 1968. Leonard first worked at Walgreens pharmacy for a short period of time then went to work at Gibson’s Pharmacy for 6 years. In January of 1979 Leonard and David opened Family Pharmacy and have been partners ever since.
Sonia Guidry

Sonia Guidry started working at Family Pharmacies in 2009. After graduating from Northeast Louisiana University School of Pharmacy in 1997 she has worked at Rite Aid as well as Potier's Pharmacy. Sonia is the Pharmacist-in-Charge at our Mauriceville Family Pharmacy location.

Our History
Family Pharmacy was formed on January 15, 1979, after David Haney and Leonard Mosca decided to form a partnership and open a new pharmacy in Vidor, Texas. The new store would be located at the present-day location of 1130 North Main.
In November 1984 they purchased Vidor Drug which was located at 305 South Archie Street. At this time Leonard Mosca operated Family Pharmacy on Main Street and David Haney operated Vidor Family Pharmacy on Archie Street.
David and Leonard continued to operate both stores until September 2005 when Hurricane Rita destroyed the contents of Family Pharmacy on Main Street. At this time all records were moved to the Archie Street location where David and Leonard again worked together.
David purchased D&L Pharmacy in Mauriceville in November 2004. David continued to operate two locations until January 2007 when he purchased Harrington’s Pharmacy in Bridge City, Texas. This was followed by the purchase of Malley’s Pharmacy in Beaumont, Texas in September 2007.
In August 2008 David began construction on the current location at 1130 North Main in Vidor and opened for business on March 22, 2009. On May 2 ,2012, David opened China Family Pharmacy in China, Texas. Family Pharmacies now have a total of thirty-six employees at all locations with 10 pharmacists with over three hundred fifty years of pharmacy experience.

We want to be your destination for all your pharmacy services. We provide a large prescription drug inventory with fast, friendly hometown service. In addition to our prescription services we offer a wide range of over-the-counter medications and our pharmacists are glad to help with any questions you might have.
